IJS: Love Is What It IS

For the most part, we could choose to hate or we could choose to love. There is no middle ground. God tells us to love one another, but he didn't tell us to like one another. I'd be fooling myself if I state that everyone loves me. That is not how this world works. If that were the case, I'd have to say that we were all living in a perfect world called Heaven.

My thoughts are that love can not be compared to like or dislike. Love is clearly an action word. However, that doesn't mean we don't all have a duty to our own wellbeing to make hard decisions that are not so favorable, or perhaps, decisions that are made directly or indirectly to uplift the kingdom of God.

Love is in fact a beautiful gift from God that has several stages between conditional and unconditional. Making a choice to love someone in your own way allows a person to equally love themselves. So, it is fair to say that just because a person doesn't love you the way you love yourself or how you think love should be displayed doesn't mean they don't love you. On the contrary, love is still an action word that will be manifested and experienced if it is pure love.

In the darkest of days, love can bring sanity into destructive situations. When love is experienced it can tear down barriers and mend broken hearts. Love is the potion that can't be explained. It is the one thing that can make a person smile and cry at the same time. Love is the answer to life's chaos.

IJS: The Golden Rule is super important. (Matthew 7:12)
